Job Description

•Assist in development and implementation of the annual business plan for the FGA department.
•Assist with evaluating insurance policies and coverage enhancements.
•Identifying, measuring and managing insurable risks or hazards.
•Ensure process new insurance policies, modifications to existing policies on time
•Adjust reserves and provide reserve recommendations to ensure reserving activities consistent with corporate policies.
•Provide underwriters with feedback on claim issues, cause of losses, wordings and related risk information to improve the overall quality of underwriting.
•Communicate with reinsurance department to obtain information necessary for processing claims.
•Examine claims investigated by insurance adjusters, further investigating questionable claims to determine whether to authorize payments.
•Supervise claims adjusters to ensure that adjusters have followed proper methods.
•Verify and analyze data used in settling claims to ensure that claims are valid and that settlements are made according to company practices and procedures.
•Train, develop, and counsel team members in a manner that is conducive for building and sustaining a high performing team.
